Events will celebrate Priory churchyard

A LEOMINSTER charity are planning a series of free events celebrating one of the town’s finest churchyards.
Caring for God’s Acre (CfGA) will hold a number of events in the burial ground surrounding Leominster Priory from a day of Medieval celebrations to bulb planting and tree care workshops.
The events, which will take place between September and February 2009, form part of a community project funded by NEXUS and Herefordshire Council’s community projects grant.
CfGA will also run a poster competition for school children throughout the autumn term.
The first event is a talk and walk around the Priory grounds on September 5 with bat expert Hilary Smith.
